Congrats to my winner: Michelle
As I’ve mentioned before on my other review blog, if there’s one thing that I know a lot about, it’s laundry! I have a 2 ½-year old son who lives to make messes, and a 9-month-old daughter who is very enthusiastic about mealtimes, but hasn’t quite figured out the logistics of eating without ending up wearing most of her meal. While I am typing this I have a pile of laundry on the table waiting to be folded, another load tumbling around inside the dryer and a third waiting in the washing machine. Yes, I know laundry.
So, I was really excited to get the opportunity to test some new products from OxiClean, the OxiClean Max Force Power Paks and the OxiClean Max Force Pre-Treater Gel Stick.
The Pre-Treater gel stick is really interesting- it has different type of applicator than I’ve ever seen before, one with little “nubs” on the top of the stick, so it’s a no mess way to get the stain treatment deep into the stain. And it’s safe for use on colored fabric as well as your white items. The Max Force Power Paks are great little plastic packets of OxiClean powder. They can be used on all colors and in all temperatures of the wash, and are designed to unleash active oxygen to boost your detergent for better stain removal and brighter colors/whiter whites.
I thought the Pre-Treater Gel Stick was easy to use, and I love that you can treat the stain and the wash it later- up to a week later! My kids have a knack for sensing when I’ve just done all the laundry in the house and immediately spill something, so I need this treat-now-and-wash-later option. It saves me from the decision of either doing a load of laundry with only one item, or risking that the stain won’t come out if I wash later.
The Pre-Treater Gel has already been used frequently in my house- my daughter and son are both messy eaters, and it’s been great to be able to just dab some gel on the clothing item and leave it until later. It’s done a great job of getting out stains and I’ve been very happy with how the clothes came out of the wash.
I also really liked the Power Paks and the convenience that they offer. I’ve been a long-time OxiClean user, and I’m a believer in its ability to brighten whites and colors. But I always seemed to be losing the little scoop to put the powder into my wash, or the container would fall behind my washer and spill, so it sometimes was more hassle than it was worth. These Power Paks are great though- there’s nothing to measure or pour or unwrap, just take a Power Pak out of the bag and throw it in. The Power Paks came in handy this week. I washed my white towels with a newish pair of jeans, and my towels came out with a blue tinge. After I washed them again with an OxiClean Power Pak, and they went back to their original color!

The Pre-Treater gel at work. It’s nice and thick and doesn’t run or drip.
Clean again!
