Shopping for a new TV stand?

My husband and I own a rental condo, and we recently had a new renter move in.  She was thrilled with the condo, but not so much with the furniture that came along with it. And I can't really blame her- it's mostly furniture left over from my husband's early bachelor days! The biggest offender in the condo is the stand that the TV is on- we really need to go shopping for LCD TV stands! When we do get around to shopping, my first stop will be at CSN Stores to browse the great selection there.

At CSN Stores you can search for the perfect TV stand for your room. You can look at options sorted by price, style or size of your TV.  They carry entertainment centers, lots of types of TV stands, media storage items and TV wall mounts.

This Flat Panel TV Stand in Cherry is gorgeous:

And I absolutely love this contemporary black TV stand from dCOR design:

To keep your media well-organized, how about this beautiful windowpane cabinet with sliding doors?

As always, CSN Stores has your shopping needs covered, with lots and lots of great options in the 200+ stores. Not just TV stands, they have a bit of everything! Check out the site to find the perfect item for your home!

Have you shopped CSN Stores yet?

When my husband and I were newlyweds, we lived in a small studio condo right in downtown Seattle.  Due to the small size of our home, we couldn't fit in a dining room table, so we did all our eating at the breakfast bar. Which meant that we needed to buy good bar stools. I remember going to lots of stores and searching around for the perfect option, then in the end giving up and just moving in my husband's old bar stools that he'd had at his previous home.  Perhaps if I had had the option of shopping at CSN Stores for bar stools back then, I would have not had so much trouble finding what I was looking for!

They have some great options, no matter what your style is.  I think this bar stool is so pretty and classic all at once. It would bring instant character to your bar or counter area!

Or what about this beautiful walnut bar stool?

Whatever you're shopping for, whether it's bar stools or new baby shoes, CSN Stores probably has just what you're looking for at one of its 200+ stores.  So if there's an online shopping trip in your future, stop by CSN Stores first and see what you can find there! It's easy to browse and to search for exactly what you're looking for, so you can quickly find just what you need. Happy shopping!

My review of some great new products from OxiClean- and a great giveaway (closed)!

This is a compensated review by BlogHer and OxiClean.

Congrats to my winner: Michelle

As I’ve mentioned before on my other review blog, if there’s one thing that I know a lot about, it’s laundry!  I have a 2 ½-year old son who lives to make messes, and a 9-month-old daughter who is very enthusiastic about mealtimes, but hasn’t quite figured out the logistics of eating without ending up wearing most of her meal. While I am typing this I have a pile of laundry on the table waiting to be folded, another load tumbling around inside the dryer and a third waiting in the washing machine.  Yes, I know laundry.

So, I was really excited to get the opportunity to test some new products from OxiClean, the OxiClean Max Force Power Paks and the OxiClean Max Force Pre-Treater Gel Stick.

The Pre-Treater gel stick is really interesting- it has different type of applicator than I’ve ever seen before, one with little “nubs” on the top of the stick, so it’s a no mess way to get the stain treatment deep into the stain.  And it’s safe for use on colored fabric as well as your white items. The Max Force Power Paks are great little plastic packets of OxiClean powder. They can be used on all colors and in all temperatures of the wash, and are designed to unleash active oxygen to boost your detergent for better stain removal and brighter colors/whiter whites.

I thought the Pre-Treater Gel Stick was easy to use, and I love that you can treat the stain and the wash it later- up to a week later! My kids have a knack for sensing when I’ve just done all the laundry in the house and immediately spill something, so I need this treat-now-and-wash-later option. It saves me from the decision of either doing a load of laundry with only one item, or risking that the stain won’t come out if I wash later.

The Pre-Treater Gel has already been used frequently in my house- my daughter and son are both messy eaters, and it’s been great to be able to just dab some gel on the clothing item and leave it until later. It’s done a great job of getting out stains and I’ve been very happy with how the clothes came out of the wash.

I also really liked the Power Paks and the convenience that they offer. I’ve been a long-time OxiClean user, and I’m a believer in its ability to brighten whites and colors. But I always seemed to be losing the little scoop to put the powder into my wash, or the container would fall behind my washer and spill, so it sometimes was more hassle than it was worth. These Power Paks are great though- there’s nothing to measure or pour or unwrap, just take a Power Pak out of the bag and throw it in. The Power Paks came in handy this week. I washed my white towels with a newish pair of jeans, and my towels came out with a blue tinge. After I washed them again with an OxiClean Power Pak, and they went back to their original color!

The Pre-Treater gel at work. It’s nice and thick and doesn’t run or drip.

  Clean again!
